Chonchi Heredia is one of the most popular voices in the world of flamenco.
Descends from the “Sacromontana De Las Golondrinas” family with an extensive background in flamenco in the zambras of this district of Granada.
Begins forming herself in the tablaos of Granada before moving on to Madrid where she soon gets in the little world of flamenco and is requested by the most renowned artists to participate in their recordings, or to accompany dance masters such as Joaquín Cortés, Juana Amaya or Antonio Canales and many more.
Among her own discography there is “Brujeria” in 1998 and Daray 2003.
Such is her reputation that Paco de Lucia himself called her to work with him. In 2006 toured with Paco de Lucia worldwide and recorded a solo album with which she began an international tour that made her achieved major successes. Is a very highly demanded voice in times of flamenco-jazz, by Jorge Pardo, Chano Dominguez and others of a more pop cut, like Miguel Bose, Los Rodriguez, Tow, Andres Calamaro, Joaquin Sabina…, and an endless list of more artists…
In 2011, she recorded the song “Abrazame” in the album Mexico Flamenco where the Mexican song and flamenco fraternize with collaboration of Diego "El Cigala", Remedios Amaya, Enrique Heredia "Negri", Montse Cortés, Vicente Castro "Parrita" Guadiana, Jose Soto Sorderita, Aurora Losada, Moncho and the duo Banis, who play bulerías, rumbas, tangos flamenco compositions or Alegrias of Agustin Lara, Jose Jose, Vicente Fernandez and Jose Alfredo Jimenez, produced by Antonio Cortez Moreno "Barullo”.
