Zedd

Anton Zaslavsky, better known by his stage name Zedd, is a musician, music producer and DJ, born on September 2, 1989. Zedd has dual citizenship, German and Russian, although his career grew and started off in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Growing up in a family of musicians was a boost in his career. Indeed, he had the opportunity to learn to play the piano at the age of 4 and later the battery when he was 12, experiences that certainly opened his musical senses.

Zedd began his career as a producer and DJ in 2009, and produced mainly in the electro house genre, but he also diversified under influences of progressive house, dubstep, rap, rock and classical music, producing a wide variety of remixes and original works.

He won two remix Beatport contests in 2010. The first is the original production called "You Anthem" which was well received by Electro Beatport in the top 20 and continued to do the remix of "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites "Skrillex also entered the Beatport Electro House chart, reaching number 2. The producer has done very professional work with renown artists, such as Lady Gaga, The Black Eyed Peas, Justin Bieber and others.

In 2012, Zedd signed with the label Interscope Records and released a single "Spectrum" with the voice of Matthew Koma. Then he participated in the production of Eva Simons’ song, "I Do not Like You", which was also released on Interscope. That same year, he produced and co-wrote the third single "Beauty and a Beat" with Max Martin for the third studio album by Justin Bieber, “Believe”.

In 2013, he worked in the production of three songs for Lady Gaga’s album “artpop”. He was also involved in producing the single "Heaven" from Namie Amuro’s album “Feel”.

On the 26th January 2014, Zedd released the single "Find You" with Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant, which was used as soundtrack for the movie “Divergent”.

In July 204, Ariana Grande released with Zedd a song titled "Break Free," which peaked at the 4th rank on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number 1 on the Hot Dance - Electronic Songs. The song was nominated at the Teen Choice Awards in the category of "Break-Up Song".

In February 2015, Selena Gomez, presented the production of Zedd "I Want You to Know". The song is co-written by Zedd, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic and KDrew.

On April 8, 2015, the Japanese singer Namie Amuro announced she would launch an album entitled "Genic" where it is revealed that Zedd produced the music album of the singer. Zedd produced his second studio album, True Colors, by May 2015.
