Marisa Jara was born on the 1rst February 1980 in Sevilla, where she spent her whole childhood and part of her teenage years. She always felt attracted by the fashion world, especially by make-up and cosmetics.
She took many courses of make-up artist because that was what she was willing to do. But everything started off when she was chosen to star in a videoclip of Julio Iglesias at the age of 15.
She moved to Madrid in order to work for the prestigious agency Elite and also worked abroad. At the age of 16, she started her laboral career in Japan, Paris, Miami, Milan, Germany, New York, London…
After working on important ad campaigns and after working with famous photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier, Ruven Afanador, David Lachapelle, Peter Lindbergh, Jauma de Laiguana, Manuel Outumuro amongst many others, she went back to Barcelona and in order to study interpretation in Nanci Tuñon School. She also went to Madrid where she studied in Cristina Rota and Juan Carlos Coraza’s school, without laying off her career.
Straight away, the Vanzina’s brothers called her from Rome because they wanted her to star in the movie “ Un state al Mare” that was launched during Venice’s prestigious festival.
Just after, she obtained the role of “Blanca del Río” in the most viewed serial of the Italian television “Distretto di Polizia”. Furthermore, she continued to combine her career as international model by posing for famous brands, ad campaigns and events.
