Born into a family of writers, her grandfather, Eduardo Ugarte was also a great designer and a regular contributor to Luis Buñuel, the Spanish cinema director. She started acting in films in “Mala Espina” (2001), which was the winner in several film regional contests, and then she started taking dance and acting lessons, which she combined with her career of philosophy.
During this time she started working on television in “Policías” (Antena 3) and “Hospital Central” (Telecinco), and when she was just 21 years-old she was nominated for the Goya in the category of Best Actress for her role as Consuelo in the film “Cabeza de Perro”.
The great fame came after the premiere of “La Señora”, in TV1, in which she played the main character (Victoria Márquez). The same year she also participated in the film “El juego del ahorcado”, with other great actors as Clara Lago and Alvaro Cervantes. Then came “Castillos de carton” (2010), directed by Salvador García Ruiz and co-starred with Biel Duran and Nilo Mur, and after this “Lo contrario al amor” (2011), co-starring Hugo Silva. He also participated in the miniseries “Niños robados” (Telecinco).
In 2013, two years after the end of filming, “El tiempo entre costuras” (Antena 3), based on the novel written by Maria Dueñas playing the role of Sira Quiroga / Arish Agoriuq.
