Christian Gálvez

Christian Gálvez Montero (Móstoles, May 19, 1980) is a Spanish television presenter, actor and writer. He is married to the rhythmic gymnast Almudena Cid.

He began his studies in English Teaching and Philology, although he had already begun his studies in the world of entertainment. His professional beginnings were in the interpretation, debuting in the small screen with 15 years in an episodic paper of the series Doctor of family, to which would follow equally roles without continuity in the house of the messes (1996) or When leaving class ( 1998). Later it happened to works of presenter of television, driving the spaces Summer Night, Humor to all march and the infantile Desesperado Social Club between 1999 and 2002. He was also actor of dubbing of the video game Little Big Planet. He began to gain more notoriety due to his participation as a reporter in the humor program Caiga who fell (2005-2007), issued by Telecinco and presented by Manel Fuentes.

After leaving CQC, was chosen by Telecinco to present, from July 16, 2007, the contest Pasapalabra, format until then issued by Antena 3 in which he relieved Jaime Cantizano. In 2010 he published with the publishing company Espasa the book Sin-shame for the world, in which he narrates his experiences as a reporter. In 2011 he resumed his career as an actor and filmed under the direction of Antonio del Real, along with Jaydy Michel and Blanca Jara, the film Ni pies ni cabeza. That same year he published his second book with Espasa, Let history accompany you, in which he narrates historical facts and anecdotes. On April 11, 2013 he published Você talento: How to get the best of yourself from the hand of Leonardo da Vinci with the publishing house Alienta, where he mixes the life and work of the Florentine genius with the coach concept. That year also began to collaborate like specialist of cinema of superheroes in the magazine ACCION Cine-Video-Tele. The 2 of April of 2014 published the historical novel Matar to Leonardo da Vinci with the publishing Suma de Letras. The book has sold more than 40,000 copies and five editions, being published in Spain, Chile, Argentina, Mexico and Serbia. In May 2014 he joined the Academy of Sciences and Television Arts of Spain and from that same year launched the small children's collection Leo da Vinci with the publishing house Alfaguara, consisting of 9 volumes so far. The 17 of March of 2016 published Prayer by Miguel Angel, second volume of the Chronicles of the Renaissance. He is also a lecturer for companies based on motivation and the search for talent. In 2017 he was appointed world expert in Leonardo da Vinci and will attend the exhumation, the recovery of his DNA and the facial reconstruction of the painter.

In July of 2015 presented in Telecinco the program ¡Vaya fauna !, a talent show in which different animals competed and their owners. After the premiere of ¡Vaya fauna! Several animal organizations criticized the format of the space, showing animals of non-domesticated species that allegedly received training based on physical abuse. Presenter Frank Cuesta published a widely publicized YouTube video entitled "Message to Christian Gálvez," in which he supported the position of these associations, considering that the program promoted animal abuse. In that video, Cuesta asked Gálvez to publicly protest against the format of ¡Vaya fauna !. After the video and the other criticisms, both Mediaset and Christian have continued to express in favor of the format of the program.
