Fernando Romay Pereiro was born in La Coruña, Spain in September 23rd 1959. He is a former basketball player who won several medals and recognitions for his sporting achievements; he has the record of most ACB matches with 100% of shots.
He also played football in the Real Madrid team and during that period the team got seven ACB league titles, five Copa Del Rey, two Europe Cups, three ReCopa, one Korac Cup, two Intercontinental Cups and one World Club Championship.
In 1996 he became the first elite Spanish sportsman capable of reaching two League titles in two different team disciplines: basketball and football. During the last years he has collaborated in several TV shows and supports some NGOs. Among the TV shows and programs in which he has participated, there are “Noche”, the “Pekin´s JJOO” sports show, he also played a little part in a TV series “Comisario” and in season 2011/2012 collaborates with the region television of Murcia as a basketball commentator of the UCAM CB Murcia matches.
