Greta

Greta (Beatriz Gonzalez, Valladolid) is a singer and Spanish fashion designer, lead singer of the band “Greta y los Garbo” and solo singer since the band split in 2002. She is known for her great voice and musical tastes of rare American cut in the Spanish context.

Greta has been out of the music business since 2001, year in which her last album “Grandes Exitos” saw the light. This album was recorded with the band she had with her sisters Belén and Sara. After concert tours and thousands of records sold, Greta y los Garbo decided to launch solo careers to create separately new projects from other perspectives without falling into repetition.

But during all this time, far from not working, Greta has shown why she is considered one of the most versatile artists of our country. Besides doing duets and collaborations with other singers on records and television specials, she has done some work as an actress and has set up her own music production company for new talents.

Apart from her musical career, she is a fashion designer and has already launched her first collection under the name "Les Bohemiens by Sara Blanco”. Her presence was required in programs like "Operación Triunfo", in which she has being professor and jury in different editions.

Greta keeps having different projects, not only in the world of music (new band “B-Great” with Sandro Bianchi) but also proposals for making films and developing new fashion collections tht she designs and supervises while her team manufactures in Morocco.

Her main virtue is her voice, with a certain soul air. Her musical influences go from Aretha Franklin to Billie Holiday, and it was thank to them that she discovered the soul of the African-Americans, which has always characterized the themes and funky soul that have appeared in her productions. She and her sisters started to spread over Spain a new musical style and has always managed to adapt to trends and new musical trends, showing a great vocation and love for music and a well done job.
