Danza Invisible was formed in Malaga in 1981.
In their beginnings, the band was composed by Ricardo Texidó, drums, Manuel Rubio, rhythm guitar and Chris Navas, bass. Later on they were joined by guitarist Antonio Gil and Javier Ojeda, vocalist.
The discovery of Danza Invisible as a band, came when they won the first prize in the festival organized by the city of Jerez, when they were offered to record their first single. They also got their first contracts from that time too.
Mainly for the quality of their instruments, their musical style was in the line of great bands like U2 or Simple Minds. It was later than the switched to Latin rhythms.
Their first album was called “Contacto Interior”, but the success came a little later, when their second album “Maratón” was created, which contained the song "El Club Del Alcohol", a song that usually closed their concerts.
Their following album represented the most commercial success, titled "A Tu Alcance" and included a handful of songs, like "Reina del Caribe", "A este lado de la carretera" or "Sabor de Amor".
Danza Invisible has become one of the most veteran Spanish bands on the music scene and continues to reap success after more than thirty years on stage.
