La Guardia is a rock band that was formed in the city of Granada (Spain) in the first half of the 80s.
La Guardia was created by Manuel España (vocals, guitar), Enrique Moreno Rabbit (bass) and Carlos Gilabert (drums machine and keyboards) under the original name of "La Guardia Del Cardenal Richelieu”.
Throughout their career, which is divided into two stages, first stage from 1983 to 1997 and the other stage from 2003 until today, they have sold over a million and half copies, and is considered by critics as one of the major formations of rock history in Spain.
In this last stage, they launch "Ahora" a basic, recorded by Carlos Goñi from “Revolver” as a producer. After that, they are hooked up by Vale Music, and recorded "Sobre Ruedas" an album with new songs and manage to sell over 20,000 copies.
In 2008 they celebrated their twenty fifth year in music with an album of duets entitled “25 Años No Es Nada” with special features like Ariel Rot’s, Chenoa’s, El Efecto Mariposa’s, La Mari’s, Raimundo Amador’s, Alvaro Urquijo’s, etc.
In 2010, an unprecedented album is launched; entitled "Tumbado Al Borde De La Luna" and in 2011 the album “Buena Gente” is out in the market, composed of duets with artists like “Los Celtas Cortos” “La Musicalité” and “La Cabra Mecánica” among others.
