JOSE CARRERAS - BANGKOK
On October 23, tenor José Carreras participated in the Bangkok Dance and Music Festival with the renowned Soprano Celine Byrne and conductor David Giménez Carreras at the Cultural Center of Thailand in front of the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Bangkok.
The event was attended by the King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn, who awarded Carreras with Great Knight’s Cross of the Order of the White Elephant minutes after his majestic performance in front of more than 2000 people.
The concert program, which lasted about two hours, included themes from the 72-year-old classic repertoire, with works by opera composers such as Georges Bizet, Charles Gounod and Manuel Fernández Caballero.
A production of Totalísimo in the Asian country, where José Carreras was cheered by the public standing and decorated by the King of Thailand.
