Vicente García

Vicente García, a composer, musician, and singer, was born in the Dominican Republic, a native of the Caribbean and bachata scene. From his childhood, he was deeply influenced by music, as it played a fundamental role in his home. His father, despite being a doctor, came from a family of classical pianists, and his mother was a visual artist.
His life was so filled with art that at the age of 12, he picked up an acoustic guitar from his aunt, and that’s where his musical career began, composing his first melodies. In 2002, he created the funk and soul band “Calor Urbano”, although he continued to compose songs as a soloist and promote them online. This is how his first big opportunity came in 2008 when Juan Luis Guerra invited him to participate in his “Tour La Travesía”. He later accompanied the great Mexican band Maná on their “Drama y Luz” tour, events that catapulted him to the great success he has today.
An artist with multiple award nominations and a three-time Latin Grammy winner, Vicente García has established himself as a versatile artist, handling different musical styles including: bachata, reggae, soul, funk, Antillean and Caribbean rhythms, bolero, and the folkloric expressions of his country.
