REIK

Reik is a Mexican trio formed by Jesús Navarro as lead singer, Julio Ramírez on guitar and Gilberto Marín on guitar and percussion.

His musical career began in 2003 when producer Abelardo Vásquez met with Jesús and Julio to record some “demos”, which were well accepted by the audience, so they decided to break through the entire Mexican territory with two of their first songs that they were “I would like to be” and “November without you.”

In 2004, Gilberto joined Jesús and Julio, completing the trio that today makes up Reik. That same year they signed with Sony BMG and in February 2005 they released their first record material, which was produced by Abelardo Vásquez in co-production with Kiko Cibrián and their first album, which contained singles such as “Yo quisiera”, “Que vida la mía”, “November without you”, “Girl” and “Come back.”

In 2006 they recorded a live album at the Metropolitan Theater in Mexico City where they sang in collaboration with Sin Bandera, Natalia and La Forquetina and Kalimba. In the middle of that same year they released the album “Sequence” and carried out the promotional tour of America, singing in Puerto Rico, at the Miss World Festival and at the International Fair of Barquisimeto – Venezuela. In addition, they were present at the Fusiona2 program with Fonseca where they presented their song “Pobre Corazón”.

In 2008 they released their third record production, called “Un día Más”, which included songs such as “Inforgettable”, “Fui” and “Mi Pecado” in collaboration with Maite Perroni, which was chosen to be the theme of the Mexican telenovela of the same name, broadcast on Televisa.

In 2014 they participated in the song “You move, all move”, along with Ha * Ash and David Bisbal, a song promoted by Coca-Cola to promote the sport. In November of that same year, they were invited to make a presentation at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival; a year later they would be awarded the silver and gold gulls at the same festival.

In 2018 the band began to venture into the urban genre, releasing two songs that made them popular with the public, “Me Niego” with the collaboration of Wisin and Ozuna and “Amigos con Derechos” with Maluma.
