Maldita Nerea is a Spanish pop rock music group that was born in Murcia. Led by Jorge Ruiz Flores (Murcia, July 10, 1975), he is the most visible face of the group. Since the launch of “El secreto de las Tortugas” has been established as one of the main groups of the entire national panorama and also as one of the most international in Latin America.

They started giving small concerts in Murcia. The public began to enjoy a lot in their performances and to fill all the rooms in which they performed. The models of the group passed between the students from hand to hand and sang their songs at concerts. Little by little they became little local stars while they were on the road every weekend traveling from Murcia to Salamanca.

After spending time giving concerts in small halls, the multinational Universal Music is interested in them and publishes, in October 2003, their debut album, “Cuarto Creciente”. Jorge Ruiz himself has explained the name of the group: «”Nerea” is the name we give to music and the adjective of “Maldita” is because it is difficult to live with her and with her».

On May 26, 2017, about 00.15 is hung on Spotify and iTunes his new single “Bailarina”. The song is chosen as a tune for La Vuelta ciclista a España de 2017.
