Jennifer Lopez was born in the Bronx in New York City, in the middle of Castle Hill.
From Puerto Rican parents, since childhood, she dreamed of being an artist. At seven, she began touring with her dance class around the City of New York. At sixteen she won a small role in the film My Little Girl.
She took dance classes at Baruch College; worked in a law firm and took singing lessons in the afternoon. After a year and a half of auditions, finally found work in a tour that took her to Japan. Before leaving she auditioned for the program In Living Color. She got the job but on her return from Japan, the program called to give a new test. This time got the job and went to Hollywood.
On June 1, 1999 released her first album, On the 6, after the train that she took every day to go to their singing and dancing.
She has since become an actress, singer, dancer, entrepreneur, producer and fashion designer. With her first 7 albums has sold nearly 40 million copies.
She is the richest person of Latin American descent in Hollywood and is the most influential Latin artist in the United States.
Today just released the single “Dance Again” in collaboration with Pitbull, the first single from her second compilation album will be released in June this year.
