Carlos Baute was born in Caracas. From a young age, he expressed a passion not only for music but for the arts in general, enjoying acting, singing, and songwriting.

True to his interests, at age 13, he joined the musical group Los Chamos, with whom he recorded the album Con un poco de amor (With a Little Love), his first musical project, which was very well received and led to appearances in various commercials. He then began working as a model and released his first solo album, Orígenes I (Origins I), in 1994. He also explored acting, participating in the Venezuelan telenovela Destino de mujer (Woman’s Destiny) (1997), playing Pedro José, a swimming instructor.

Orígenes I was released in 1994, achieving his first two platinum records. In 1999, he released the album Yo nací para querer (I Was Born to Love), his third production, which was a pivotal moment in Carlos Baute’s career.

In 2000, Carlos Baute chose Spain as his second home to continue his musical career. In 2001, his fourth solo album, *Dame de eso*, was released, produced by Emilio Estefan and followed by the Latin American edition in 2002. It achieved platinum status in Spain.

In 2004, he joined Warner Music and released his fifth album, *Peligroso*, for which he composed all the songs himself. It was produced in Los Angeles by Chilean producer Humberto Gatica.

After several successive hits, in 2010 he recorded the album *De mi puño y letra*. This is his eighth album. “Quién te quiere como yo” sold over 2 million digital copies, reaching #1 on radio stations throughout Latin America just weeks after its release.

In October 2013, with Colombian producer Andrés Castro (known for working with artists like Carlos Vives), the album En el buzón de tu corazón (In the mailbox of your heart) was released, strengthening his style as a great Latin singer-songwriter and continuing his musical career internationally.
