NEIVI MARTINEZ

The German-Mexican soprano Neivi Martinez has gained international recognition for her histrionic ability, vocal sharpness, and innovation. Recent performances include concerts at the Vienna Konzerthouse, Seoul Arts Center, Main Drama Theater Ashgabat, and the Ortiz Tirado Festival in Mexico, performing alongside opera stars such as Elina Garanca and Francisco Araiza.

She is a frequent guest of the Frankfurt Symphony Orchestra, Hofburg Orchestra in Vienna, National Orchestra of Poland, Sonora Symphony Orchestra, and supports student projects such as the Naissus Youth Orchestra and the Esperanza Azteca Mexico Orchestra. After 11 years in a permanent contract at the Stadttheater Gießen (Germany) and the Stadttheater Klagenfurt (Austria), Neivi Martinez launched herself as an independent artist with the album Sempre Libera in 2016. She was selected for the television program “Stars von Morgen” by tenor Rolando Villazón, presenting her video of the aria “Il Dolce Suono” (Lucia di Lammermoor). Neivi Martínez was a finalist in the VoceallOpera competition of the Amici Della Scala Di Milano in the same year.

She has performed recitals and guest appearances at the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Hofburg Palais, the Kinsky Palais, the Lichtenstein Palace, the Auersperg Palais in Vienna, Vienna Fashion Week, Vienna Life Ball, World Museum Vienna, Eschenbach Palais Vienna, the Gothenburg Museum of Art, the Akvarell Museum in Sweden, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Kurtheater Bad Homburg, Braunfels Castle in Germany, the Presidential Palace of Kazakhstan, Lindenfels Castle in Germany, and performed for BMW in Frankfurt, the Embassy of Mexico in Vienna, and the Consulate of Mexico in Frankfurt, among others. Her opera repertoire includes the roles of Gilda in Verdi’s Rigoletto, Adina in Donizetti’s Elixir of Love, Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen, and the bel canto heroines: Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Amina in La Sonnambula (Bellini), Elvira in I Puritani (Bellini), Violetta in La Traviata (Verdi), among others. Thanks to her musical heritage and vocal flexibility, she has carried out projects in the field of LATIN JAZZ, releasing her single “Si todo es un sueño en 2029, and recording her solo CD AQUANOVA with her own texts with the label THE WORLD MUSIC CAFE. Other recordings include a musical training DVD from the UNIVERSITY OF FRANKFURT and the CD “WO DER PFEFFER WÄCHST”, among other collaborations.

Neivi Martinez studied for a Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialty in singing at the University of Sonora in Mexico. She complements her musical studies as a diplomatic fellow at the University of Drama and Performing Arts in Gothenburg, Sweden, in addition to taking courses in sound technology at the University of Gießen in Germany, and courses in Project Management and Music Business at the University of Berkley.
