ISABEL CAÑADA

Isabel Cañada Luna is an internationally renowned soprano opera singer. Originally from Málaga, Spain, Isabel studied singing at the prestigious Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid conservatory. Isabel began performing internationally at a young age, having toured Germany extensively even before completing her singing studies. She has performed at both the Kontzerthaus Berlin and the Berliner Philharmonie, as well as in numerous theaters in various cities such as Bremen, Essen, and Dresden. Isabel has also performed extensively in her home country, having appeared at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Teatro Pavón, Auditorio de Tenerife, Teatre Principal de Palma, Catedral de Mallorca, Castillo de Bellver, Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla, Fundación Sa Nostra, Teatre Principal de Maó, and Teatro Cultural de Getxo. She has also participated in numerous festivals, such as the Festival Todo Lírica de Santiago de Compostela and the Festival Música Mallorca. Isabel even had the honor of singing before Their Majesties King Juan Carlos I and Queen Sofía, then reigning monarchs of the Kingdom.
Isabel’s singing career has included several opera and zarzuela roles, most notably Despina from Così fan Tutte (Mozart), Adina and Giannetta from L’elisir d’amore (Donizetti), Juliette from Roméo et Juliette (Gounod), Gretel from Hansel and Gretel (Humperdinck), Norina from Don Pasquale (Donizetti), Duchess Carolina from Luisa Fernanda (Moreno Torroba), Musetta from La bohème (Puccini), Pamina from The Magic Flute (Mozart), and Susanna and Countess from The Marriage of Figaro (Mozart).
