Marina García’s relationship with Flamenco comes from when she was little, because in her maternal family they are great fans of flamenco singing, the best known being her great-uncle Rafael de Jerez, cantaor. At the age of 8 he began to train musically at the Joaquín Villatoro Conservatory in Jerez de la Frontera, playing classical guitar. He also participated in the choir of his soloist school, winning several awards in the carol contests of his city.
At the age of 16, she entered Rosario Montoya’s company “La Reina Gitana” as a showgirl, and also participated in the Jerez de la Frontera Festival with guitarist Ramón Trujillo.
With 18 years, as a result of the massive reaction for their videos posted on the internet and thanks to social networks, Marina began with her performances in more than 20 cities in Andalusia and filling Sala Arenas in Madrid and sharing the stage with Nani and Lin Cortes and María Toledo These videos also made the producer and composer Manuel Ruíz Queco get in touch with her to start a record project.
