Isabel began her musical career at the early age of seven years in the flamenco scene of her cousin Chiquetete. With seven years she performed at the Teatro San Fernando, in a tribute to Juanito Valderrama. A year after starting to dance with Chiquetete, she was hired at the Sevillian flamenco tablao of El embrujo.

With 17 years old he met the one that with time would be his great teacher and one of the maximum exponents of the Spanish copla: Juan Solano Pedrero, who, together with the poet and lyricist Rafael de León, composed her first recordings. León and Solano found in it the heiress of singers such as the Argentine Empire, Juana Reina or Concha Piquer. Her most representative records in this first stage are 22 Abriles tengo, Al limón and one composed entirely by Sevillanas entitled ¡Viva Triana!

Isabel soon formed her own company and for years she cultivated the copla, a genre in decline at that time and whose interest in the public managed to resuscitate. Of that time, they are subjects like “The green bird”, “Garlochí” or “El señorito”. In 1983 her first pop music album came out: Cambio por ti, composed by Paco Cepero with songs like “En la niebla” or “Nada”, in addition to the one that gave the album its title. From that moment Isabel Pantoja has alternated ballads and romantic songs with the copla; with which he has sold approximately 10 million copies.
