She first studied Psychology at the Autonomous University of Madrid before devoting herself completely to her work as an actress. He began his training at the age of eight with artistic gymnastics. At fourteen he began to combine it with the dance, both modern and funk, at the Carmen Senra school and at the Broadway Academy. For several years he received private singing lessons with Rosario Ruiz and Nora Troyani, as well as complementing his training with guitar lessons with Nuria Zamora.

He got his first role in a musical at the age of thirteen, when he played Canelilla in En la nombre de la Infanta Carlota, by Jana Producciones, a musical that was on the bill for several seasons at the Teatro de Madrid. He worked on the musical about High School Musical as the main character with Daniel Diges.2 From there, he has participated in several television series with episodic characters such as Hospital Central, Punta Escarlata or El internado. In 2010 he starred in the miniseries of Telecinco El Pacto, where he played Ana, a young girl who with her group of friends decided to get pregnant.3 However, the role that makes her known to the general public is that of Chelo, the daughter of the doormen in Amar in troubled times between 2010 and 2012.

In the summer of 2011 he premiered the mystery series Punta Escarlata in Telecinco, where he played Raquel Solís.

In cinema, she was the protagonist of the Spanish adaptation of Blancanieves, directed by Pablo Berger and premiered in 2012. A work that brought her important awards such as the Silver Shell for the best actress of the San Sebastian Film Festival and her first Goya Award to the best revelation actress.

Since 2 May 2013 she starred for almost 2 years in the play La llamada en la Teatro Lara, a musical written and directed by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo where she played María Casado, a Young electrolatino lover who goes to a Christian camp with his best friend Susana Romero (Anna Castillo). There, he receives a call from God that will make him rethink his future. The actress left production in January 2015 to focus on other projects, being replaced by Claudia Traisac. In 2015, she also starred in the Spanish television movie La Española Ingles de Televisión Española with Carles Francino and Lola Herrera, an adaptation of the famous Exemplary Novels by Miguel de Cervantes. On December 4, 2015, Palmeras en la nieve was premiered by Fernando González Molina, a film in which Macarena plays Julia, a woman ahead of her time who lives at the time when Fernando Poo ( now Bioko) was part of Spanish Guinea.

In August 2016 the filming of the film adaptation of the play La llamada began, which starred, being also directed by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo along with much of the cast of the work as Anna Castillo, Gracia Olayo, Belén Cuesta and Richard Collins-Moore, as well as some additions such as Secun de la Rosa, Víctor Elías and María Isabel Díaz. In November 2016 he joins the shooting of the movie Que loo Dios y lo visto, a comedy directed by Curro Velázquez and starring Karra Elejalde and Alain Hernández.17 On December 2, 2016, he premiered the comedy Villaviciosa next to Nacho García Velilla. In it gives life to a young prostitute of the local hostess in which the plot of the story is centered. In June 2017 he joined the third season of the Spanish Television series El Ministerio del Tiempo, where he played the young Lola Mendieta.

In January 2018 he began recording for La 1 La otra mirada, a series that starred as Manuela, the new director of an academy of young ladies from Seville in the 1920s. The actress shared the cast with Ana Wagener, Patricia López Arnaiz and Cecilia Freire, among others. Its premiere occurs on April 25, 2018, in prime-time.
