LUIS PIEDRAHITA
Luis Piedrahita is a humorist, illusionist, writer and film director. Well known for his appearances on television and radio, and especially appreciated for his humorous monologues. Luis Piedrahita is a collaborator and screenwriter of the entertainment program with the largest audience in Spanish television: El hormiguero 3.0.
He has also collaborated with the Portuguese illusionist Luis de Matos in the creation, production and presentation of magical effects in the section “Os problemas de Professor Piedrahita”, within the Impossível program, broadcast on the RTP.
He has also worked as a collaborator and screenwriter in the pioneer program of ‘stand-up comedy’ in Spain: The Comedy Club. And he has been director, scriptwriter and magician of the television program Nada por aquí.
As a filmmaker he has written and directed, along with Rodrigo Sopeña, the feature film La habitación de Fermat. This feature film has collected numerous awards, national and international, and has been premiered in more than fifty countries.
Luis Piedrahita is the author of seven best sellers of humor and has also written a children’s book entitled Diary of a flea and another of magic, coins and other stories.
He has received the 2017 Performing Fellowship Award presented by the Academy of Magical Arts in Hollywood. Piedrahita collaborates with the leading radio program of the afternoons of Spain, La ventana (Cadena Ser).
He currently triumphs in Spain and Latin America with his theatrical shows.
