FERNANDO ALONSO

Fernando Alonso Díaz (Oviedo, Asturias, Spain, July 29, 1981) is a Spanish motor racing driver. He has won the Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship twice in 2005 and 2006,2 he has been runner-up in 2010, 2012 and 2013, and finished third in 2007. He has competed for the Minardi, Renault F1 Team (in which was twice world champion), McLaren and Scuderia Ferrari, this being his team from 2010 to 2014. On November 20, 2014 the Scuderia Ferrari announces its departure after five seasons. On December 11, 2014, a return to McLaren was announced by Honda.

Alonso is the only Spanish driver and the driver with the most victories in the history of Formula 1 with 32 great prizes won and the third driver with more podiums: 97.3 4 Among his triumphs are three at the Malaysian Grand Prix, three in the German Grand Prix, three in the Grand Prix of Europe, one in the Grand Prix of Monaco, two in the Grand Prix of Great Britain, two in the Grand Prix of Italy, two in the Grand Prix of Japan, and others two at the Spanish Grand Prix. On December 4, 2017 it is included in the FIA Hall of Fame.

Along with Alfonso de Portago and Pedro de la Rosa, Alonso is one of the three Spaniards who have reached the podium in this competition, being the only one who has achieved victories. He is also one of the four riders who have made their debut at Ferrari with victory in the first race (together with Mario Andretti, Nigel Mansell and Kimi Räikkonen)
