DJ Karaï, the stage name of Guilherme Alves, is a Brazilian DJ and percussionist based in Paris. His work blends the richness of traditional percussion with the powerful energy of electronic music—creating a sound that’s both rooted and forward-looking.

Born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Guilherme grew up surrounded by Afro-Brazilian rhythms that shaped his musical path from a young age. At 20, he moved to Paris to study under the legendary percussionist Giovanni Hidalgo, marking the start of an international journey.
