Bruno Mars is an American singer, song-writer and music producer, though has Porto Rican and Philippines descent. His real name is Pete Gene Hernandez, born in October 1985 and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii.

He started making music when he was only two years old, since he comes from a family of musicians and from a very early age he has been taking part of music shows in his Hometown, which he left after High-School, when he moved to L.A. to continue his career.

Bruno Mars joined the production team The Smeezingtons and wrote several songs for other artists.

After signing with Atlantic Records in 2009, he became a quite popular solo singer, also thanks to his collaboration as singer and co-writer of the songs “Nothin’ on You” of B.o.B. and “Billionaire” of Travie McCoy. He also co-wrote international hits like “Right Round” of Flo Rida, “Wavin’ Flag” of K’naan and “Fuck You!” of Cee Lo Green.Bruno Mars

On October 4, 2010 he launched his debut album “Doo-Wops & Hooligans”. He reached n#1 all over the globe with the singles “Just the Way You Are” and “Grenade”.

He received 7 nominees at the 53rd Grammy Awards, winning the Best Male Pop Vocal Perfomance Award with the song “Just the Way You Are”.

Mars’ music has been noted for displaying a wide variety of styles, musical genres and influences. He recognizes the influences of his own collaborations in his style, as well as of the artists he used to listen in his childhood, like Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.

Mars also mixes sounds inspired to Reggae and to Motown in his work.
