CECILIA BARTOLI

Cecilia Bartoli (Rome, June 4, 1966) is a mezzo-soprano specializing in works by Mozart, Rossini and also Baroque works by composers such as Vivaldi or Haendel.

As a light coloration mezzo-soprano, it has a velvety timbre and an impeccable technique, being the most relevant one in Italy since Giulietta Simionato and one of the most popular opera singers of recent years. It stands out especially for its work of recovering the repertoire of unknown or unjustly forgotten composers, of Italian castrati like Farinelli or of anthological singers like María Malibrán.
