Kika Quesada started dancing when she was only 5 years old and at 10 she was already performing in her first public shows. Nowadays she has one of the best reputations as a renowned professional in the flamenco scene.
Kika made her first steps in the dancing world by the hand of the flamenco dancer Marichu, with whom she studied for three years, moving afterwards to the Mariquilla’s school, where she received her education as a dancer.
At the same time she attended advanced classes of big artists like Mario Maya, Joaquin Cortes, Cristobal Reyes, Javier Varon, Beatriz Martin, Antonio Reyes, La Tacha, Antonio Canales, Eva Yerbabuena, Jose Manuel Huertas, Estela Arauso, Juan Andres Maya, Farruquito, Joaquin Grilo, etc.
In 2002/03 she entered at the Centre of Dramatic Arts La Chumbera, headed by the maestro Mario Maya, obtaining one of the eleven scholarships available for international professionals. Along the flamenco dancing she keeps active her other passion, deeply connected to this: the teaching of the flamenco dancing. Currently she directs her own dancing group.
She has given intensive courses both nation- and world-wide. She had Japanese, German, Swedish, Brazilian citizens among her students and recently given a one month course in the Reunion Island.
Kika has the qualification of Teaching Assistant of Flamenco Studies of Granada(the only one existing in Spain) and is quite common to find her name in the press, related to important flamenco events, and also in the international press thanks to the large number of performances abroad.
Her first performances took place in the most famous “peñas” (flamenco clubs) of Granada like “La Plateria”, “La Plata” etc. and when she was only eleven years old, she represented the city of Granada at the “International Youth and Student Festival” in Moscow, obtaining an amazing success, reported by all the national press. Kika has realized several tours all around Spain and participated to a large number of Flamenco Festivals and competitions, and also to various Flamenco Biennials. She has performed in front of personalities such as the Spanish Royal Family and the former US President Mr. Clinton. Abroad she has performed in Paris, New York, Prague, Seoul and in many cities of Germany and Morocco.
Moreover, she has appeared in a large number of TV shows like “La Puerta del Cante”, “El Mejor Compás”, “La Buena Música”, “Gala Especial de Día de Andalucía”, etc.
